BCIS ASIA BUILDING CONSTRUCTION SURVEY 2007 NOW UNDER WAY
BCIS is now undertaking its second Asia Building Construction Survey. The goal is to provide property professionals and clients worldwide with ongoing authoritative and independent information on a very dynamic and increasingly influential region of the world.
The survey will again include country/market specific information on:
· Movement trends in:
-Overall output and output in 10 benchmark construction sectors
-total Input cost and three key subsidary input cost catergories: Tradepersons Wages, Professionals' Wages and Materials.
· Reports on experience of availability of labour generally, construction professionals generally, and six categories of skilled labour.
· Costs/m2 for10 benchmark building types.
· Labour costs for four labour categories: unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled labour and foremen.
· Materials resource costs for 16 key materials
· Inter-market comparisons of the above information including an Average Building Exchange Rate and an Affordability Index.
The year on year data collection will permit BCIS to generate a range of useful indices.
This year’s survey has been expanded to seek information on more markets and questions have been added on anticipated changes in input costs and output prices.
