BCIS Online Rates Database Help
About the Datasets
Each available Dataset has a range of applicability or context.
Things which affect context are:
- The size and type of work
- The level of Overheads and Profit included in the rates
- The type of contract
Rates which are applicable to small works of Repair and Maintenance will not be priced at the same level as larger works where purchased quantities are larger and tradesmen have continuity of work for longer periods.
Before using any Rates from the database, you are advised to read the introductory material which describes the context in which the rates are intended to be used.
Rates in BCIS Wessex Datasets do not include Overheads and Profit but other BCIS datasets may include these at appropriate levels.
Detailed descriptions of the contents of each dataset can be found in the Introductory Sections which are available from the link at the bottom of each rates tab.
After logging in, you will see a list of the Rate datasets you have subscribed to.
Choosing a Dataset.
There may be several versions of the dataset available.
When you click on the title you want to see, a list of the available versions will be displayed. Brief information about the dataset appears on the right of the screen.
The date at which the rates are current is displayed at the right of the name and the most recent version is always shown first.
When you choose a dataset version, you are taken to the Item Navigation Page.
