BCIS is entering an exciting phase of growth, powered by innovation, technology, and data. To support this, we’re looking for a Senior Estimator to join our team and help develop the cost data that underpins decision-making across the construction industry.
In this role, you’ll produce high-quality activity rates, pricing structures, and cost models that construction professionals rely on every day. You’ll play a key role in ensuring BCIS datasets remain accurate, relevant, and trusted, while collaborating with Product, Engineering, Data, and Consultancy teams to support the development of industry-leading cost intelligence.
What you’ll do
Develop and maintain activity rates, pricing structures, and cost models
Produce accurate, compliant, and market-relevant cost data with minimal supervision
Analyse market conditions and apply building regulations to ensure data accuracy
Ensure BCIS datasets remain current, reliable, and high quality
Contribute to the refinement of methodologies, standards, and processes
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, and Consultancy teams
Support audits and ensure documentation of assumptions, methods, and data sources
Help standardise best practices across the Data team
Mentor and support junior colleagues, sharing knowledge and expertise

Who we’re looking for
Strong background in construction estimating with 7+ years’ experience
Proven ability to produce accurate, compliant pricing structures and cost models
Experience working with schedules of rates, life-cycle costing, and facilities management data
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with large datasets
Good understanding of market conditions and construction regulations
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data quality
Degree (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline
Nice to have:
Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues
Interest in improving methodologies, standards, and processes
